Winter run
I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026. A 10km run on 15 Feb.
In 2024 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily it was caught early and was treatable through surgery, radiotherapy and ongoing endocrine therapy. Each of these treatments individually and collectively has been incredibly well-researched, meaning that my doctors could be confident I was getting the treatment I needed, as well as not over treating causing unnecessary side-effects.
A large amount of this research is backed or funded by Cancer Research UK.
I feel lucky to have my health and be able to train for this run. And hopefully raise money to fund the future developments we’ll all benefit from - whether that’s directly or our friends and family.
Unfortunately, nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
