Cancer is relentess. But so are we. 

Battled the rain and finished!!

It was pouring down with rain but the atmosphere was still amazing.  It was so touching to see all the volunteers and supporters turn out to cheer us on.  Managed to finish in 73 mins which is respectable for me at least.

Thanks so much for the sponsorships!  Thanks to you, I got into the "Exclusive Fundraisers" tent after the event for a hot cup of tea and pastries!

See you all next year!  Hope the weather is slightly better thsi time...

Plea for sponsorship

Hi all,

Somehow the start of 2026 rather snuck up on me, which explains my very belated plea for sponsorship. As most of you know, I lost my aunt to cancer a few years ago, and since then I’ve run for Cancer Research every year in her memory.

I am definitely not a natural runner, but doing this event annually makes me feel closer to her — and part of the huge number of people who have lost loved ones to this disease. At a time when the world can feel pretty overwhelming and out of our control, events like the London Winter Run for Cancer Research feel like a small but meaningful way to do something positive.

If you’re able and willing to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful — truly anything you can spare would mean a lot. Thank you so much!!
