Why I am doing this
This is the second run I am doing for a cancer charity since my mum sadly passed away in September 2024 from neck and base of tongue cancer. I miss her every day and it still seems so unfair that cancer took her from us after she had already battled head and neck cancers twice before, lastly involving massive surgery to remove her voice box with a view to also getting rid of the cancer residing in her pharynx. I am running this race not only to keep her memory alive for my 5 year old twins, but also so that more can be done to prevent others passing away from head and neck cancers.I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
