Cancer is relentess. But so are we. 

So apparently…I’m a runner now

Yes, you read that correctly. Go ahead, take a moment. I’ll wait.

Because somehow, against all odds (and against everything the old me stood for) I’ve signed up for the London Winter Run. 

I’m going to enjoy pretending I’m the main character jogging through central London! 🙌🏻 

But there is a bigger reason…I’m raising money for cancer research. The event supports life-saving cancer research, and every donation helps to fund breakthroughs, treatments and support for people who need it most.

So not only am I looking to chase a PB, I’m also chasing a future where cancer affects fewer lives. Look at me, being all wholesome and athletic…who even am I?

Training is happening…not gracefully or elegantly but its happening. Some days I feel unstoppable. Other days I questions every life choice I made that led me to this moment. 

So if you are in London on race day, and you see someone who looks like they are regretting everything but still pushing through…that’s probably me. Give me a wave, or a coffee, or a gentle reminder that I chose this.
