Winter Run 2026

My Activity Tracking

153
kms

My target 100 kms

Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

I did it!!

Thankyou everyone for all the wishes, support and sponsors!! I did it!!! In 1 hour, 17 mins and 56 seconds! Half an hour quicker then I hoped for!! I won't sit there and say it was easy, it was an emotional ride! But with the support from the crowds, my family and my running partner (my brother) i kept on going!
Thankyou everyone once again!! ❤️

Its been a tough one

It's run day tomorrow and to say I'm unprepared is probably the truest reflection right now. After a good, on track start in January and hitting a 7km run, I was then struck down with flu, and news that my grandad had been taken into a hospital. It's been a very tough few weeks and I've not been able to get out and run. Sadly my grandad passed away 4 days ago, so although I'm running this completely unprepared for my own personal reasons, I am also going to run this knowing my grandad would be so proud of me, and will be with me every step of the way!
My next update will be my finishing time and a photo of me with my medal 🤞🏻
Thankyou for all the sponsors and for believing in me! It truly is appreciated ❤️

Finally getting back to it.

It's been a crazy few months, with losing our doggy in October and a house move and flu thrown on top!
But I have finally been out and done my first 5k since my October runs! I can still do it, and I'm fully focused on returning to my weekly training starting from today :-)
Il keep the updates coming and continue to add my photos of my runs on here! Thanks for reading. ❤️

First run since August!

Today was finally the day I could get my running shoes back on after my ankle injury!
I managed a 4k run, it was a little bit of a struggle to get back into the rhythm, but I pushed through and did it!
I'm looking forward to building back up to where I left off and continuing on my journey to the 10k winter run in Feb 2026 🩵

Summer running

Over the summer I really pushed myself, and had been able to reach a point, where I am comfortable on a 6k run.
However, after a day of extreme walking on a day out on the isle of wight I hit a snag and caused soft tissue damage in my right ankle, it had required 6 weeks out of running and strong painkillers, as I havn't been able to bare weight on my foot, this is now slowly getting better.
I am absolutely gutted that I have not been able to take part in my 5k Reigate run due to this injury, but know I need to give myself that time to make sure I am ready and fit for London in February. Not being able to run recently has been really hard and I know it will be slightly challenging getting myself back to where I was, but I am determined to get right back to it, as quickly as possible! And continue to build on my pace and distance! 💪🏻

Achievements

I've been tackling my running more head on recently and keeping up with my training plan, exceeding some or my goals! I've completed 2 5k runs and completed my first 6k run, which is a big achievement from where I started! I am planning to over the summer increase my longer runs to build on my pace and I'm really looking forward to the rest of my journey : )

Back to it!

First full week back into running after holiday!
I managed a 3k, my second run I only managed 2k, my legs just wouldnt carry me!
And then today, Sunday 15/06/25 I completed my first 5k! To say I am proud of an understatement. I'm going to continue my short morning runs during the week, but will be doing a longer 5k run at the weekends to increase my pace and get comfortable with the longer distance, once I have completed my 5k in September I will be looking to increase my distance more in preparation for the 10k in Feb. :-)

Tough month

It's been an on and off month this month, I've been struck down with a nasal infection, and once recovered from that a water infection, I feel fit and ready again now, so am back to it this week, we go on holiday Friday and am planning to get in the hotel gym and out for a couple of early runs, and once we are home I will be fully back on running, my pace is improving so will now be looking at adding some extra distance into my running! I have been signed up for a 5k in September so will be focusing on being ready for that and will then continue to build up ready for the 10k.

Back to it

After having to have a week off due to a bad ankle, I am now back to running, taking it slower and steadier, and not going to over do anything to soon.
I'm enjoying being back to running and finding each run a little easier every time I do one, also continue to do my bike exercises and workouts in-between my runs, to build up my muscle strength.

First 4k

Ran my first 4k run today, and felt really good about it, training is continuing to go in the direction I was hoping for and am planning to hit 5k by the end of this week, I would then like to focus on my running pace rather then distance for a while, to improve my timing on 5k, and will then look to add more distance onto my running. ✌🏻😎

Week 2

So this week I've completed 2 2k runs and 2 20 minute cross training workouts......and completed my first 3k Saturday morning, pace wasn't my best for the 3k run, my son wanted to run with me and struggled a little 🤣 but I found it a little easier then expected.
Onto week 3 💪🏻

Week one

Week one I achieved 2 runs, 1 home workout and an hours swim.
Week 2 has begun and started with an early run this morning.

First run

I've started my training this week, and have completed my first two runs! I havnt found it easy, but I'm hoping the process will get easier the more I train. This will be a gradual training plan, done over many weeks, until I find my comfortable running pace 👍🏻

My goal

So from next week I will be starting my training!
I have decided to challenge myself to this run, to celebrate myself being cancer free for 10 years next year.
At age 24 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, whilst heavily pregnant with my son. After undergoing a very swift, C-section and hysterectomy, I was given the all clear. It has been a rocky road when coming to terms with desires to have a bigger family, and get my head around how it all happened so quickly. But I am so greatful for everything I have in life and find myself in a much better, healthier and happy life.
Aswel as celebrating my own personal reasons, I would also love to give something back, in the hopes it will help others who face their own battles.
I will keep this page posted with training updates. Thankyou everyone

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.

Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 15th February 2026.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
