My target 100 kms
I did it!!
Thankyou everyone for all the wishes, support and sponsors!! I did it!!! In 1 hour, 17 mins and 56 seconds! Half an hour quicker then I hoped for!! I won't sit there and say it was easy, it was an emotional ride! But with the support from the crowds, my family and my running partner (my brother) i kept on going! Its been a tough one
It's run day tomorrow and to say I'm unprepared is probably the truest reflection right now. After a good, on track start in January and hitting a 7km run, I was then struck down with flu, and news that my grandad had been taken into a hospital. It's been a very tough few weeks and I've not been able to get out and run. Sadly my grandad passed away 4 days ago, so although I'm running this completely unprepared for my own personal reasons, I am also going to run this knowing my grandad would be so proud of me, and will be with me every step of the way! Finally getting back to it.
It's been a crazy few months, with losing our doggy in October and a house move and flu thrown on top!First run since August!
Today was finally the day I could get my running shoes back on after my ankle injury!Summer running
Over the summer I really pushed myself, and had been able to reach a point, where I am comfortable on a 6k run.Achievements
I've been tackling my running more head on recently and keeping up with my training plan, exceeding some or my goals! I've completed 2 5k runs and completed my first 6k run, which is a big achievement from where I started! I am planning to over the summer increase my longer runs to build on my pace and I'm really looking forward to the rest of my journey : )Back to it!
First full week back into running after holiday!Tough month
It's been an on and off month this month, I've been struck down with a nasal infection, and once recovered from that a water infection, I feel fit and ready again now, so am back to it this week, we go on holiday Friday and am planning to get in the hotel gym and out for a couple of early runs, and once we are home I will be fully back on running, my pace is improving so will now be looking at adding some extra distance into my running! I have been signed up for a 5k in September so will be focusing on being ready for that and will then continue to build up ready for the 10k.Back to it
After having to have a week off due to a bad ankle, I am now back to running, taking it slower and steadier, and not going to over do anything to soon.First 4k
Ran my first 4k run today, and felt really good about it, training is continuing to go in the direction I was hoping for and am planning to hit 5k by the end of this week, I would then like to focus on my running pace rather then distance for a while, to improve my timing on 5k, and will then look to add more distance onto my running. ✌🏻😎Week 2
So this week I've completed 2 2k runs and 2 20 minute cross training workouts......and completed my first 3k Saturday morning, pace wasn't my best for the 3k run, my son wanted to run with me and struggled a little 🤣 but I found it a little easier then expected.Week one
Week one I achieved 2 runs, 1 home workout and an hours swim.First run
I've started my training this week, and have completed my first two runs! I havnt found it easy, but I'm hoping the process will get easier the more I train. This will be a gradual training plan, done over many weeks, until I find my comfortable running pace 👍🏻My goal
So from next week I will be starting my training!I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 15th February 2026.
Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
