My journey to being a runner
I’ve never been a runner, or at least I thought this before I joined my running club Squirrels’s in a couch 2 5k in April 2025 and I’m still running now. I don’t get to run as much as I’d like because of 2 boys aged 2 and 1 and at 3 months post partum I decided to try C25k for the 4th or 5th time and I actually completed it thanks to the support of the club and friends. Then my friend said to me as soon as I crossed the line at graduation parkrun. Ready for a 10k in London next Feb? I laughed and said no chance. But here I am.. do I feel ready? Absolutely not. But will I complete my first 10k on the 15th of February in order to prove to myself I can while raising money for a charity that touches most people’s lives. Yes yes yes. Here we go.I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
