This February, I’ll be running the Winter Series 10K to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
Over the years, cancer has impacted many of my loved ones. Most recently, we lost our beloved grandfather, Grampy, to lung cancer in 2023. He was the patriarch of our family, and his passing came just weeks after his diagnosis.
I miss him dearly.
Today, I still have loved ones who are fighting their battles, including my Aunty Marlene and Uncle Mark, who continue to fight with such strength and bravery. And a special mention to my warrior of a Godmother, Sandra, who thankfully kicked cancer in the butt!
By running, I hope to make a small contribution to a very big cause.
To those we’ve lost: we miss you every day. To those still fighting: we love you, and we’re with you every step of the way. You’ve got this.
