Bristol Run
First run logged on this fundraiser! I ran from Redcliff to Clifton Suspension Bridge and back for a total 9km! Elevation was terrible and at some point had to walk to keep from slipping, but all good! Photos were amazing, lucky to have a sunny day! Ran into a road sign and fell down, got some cuts and bruises that might take me off running for a week or so though…Hello!
Hi everyone, nice to meet yall!
My name is Lawrence and I’m fundraising for Cancer Research UK in the 2026 winter run in memory of my late grandmother.
I was inspired to fundraise due to a deep connection to the cause, that being my grandmother’s passing to lung cancer. I have seen first hand how cancer ravages the lives of not only the patient, but that of their family and friends. Around 1 in 5 people will get cancer in their lifetime, and research into treatments can make all the difference for them and their loved ones.
Cancer Research UK is a leading charity that conducts cutting-edge research to produce more effective treatments that has saved, and will continue to save many lives. However, research is extremely costly and there is a constant shortage of funds. To this end, Cancer Research UK hosts many fundraising events such as this winter run.
