Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

I'm not a runner but...

Hello lovely people,

If you’re here as a friend, family member, colleague, or long-suffering acquaintance, you already know one important fact about me: I am not a runner.
In fact, if you ever see me running, the safest assumption is that I’m being actively chased and fleeing for my life.

And yet… here I am. Once again, against all logic and common sense, I’ve signed up for the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026 to help raise money for life-saving cancer research.

With the encouragement (and peer pressure) of actual runners, I’ll be tackling a 10k on 15th February 2026. I fully intend to finish in under 2 hours… and who knows, miracles do happen — I might even sneak in under 1 hour 45 minutes if the wind is behind me and I’ve had enough carbs.

I’d be incredibly grateful if you could donate to support both Cancer Research UK and my highly questionable athletic ambitions. Every pound genuinely makes a difference — and it will definitely motivate me to keep training when my sofa calls.

Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime*. Together, we can help fund the research that will beat it.

Thank you so much for your support — emotionally, financially, and for cheering me on as I attempt to run without collapsing.

Together, we are beating cancer. 💙

Merci!

Sabrina x

P.S. If you include your guess of how long you think it’ll take me to complete the run, you’ll be automatically entered into a sweepstake.
Whoever guesses the exact time (or gets closest) will win a prize that is yet to be determined… but will be absolutely, undeniably, unquestionably cool.
(Bragging rights guaranteed either way.)

Donnation tiers:

  • £5 – Helps fund vital research and gives me one rock-solid training excuse.

  • £10 – Supports life-saving science and buys you one full kilometre of me not complaining (no legal guarantees).

  • £15 – Fuels cancer research and forces me to attempt at least 2km a day in training.

  • £20 – Powers research progress and silences my “it’s cold” excuses for a whole 3km.

  • £25 – Drives breakthrough research and officially makes you “the reason I didn’t quit.”

  • £30 – Supports brilliant scientists and gives me the emotional strength to keep going.

  • £40 – Helps change lives and earns you kind thoughts at my hardest, sweatiest kilometre.

  • £50 – Funds vital work, earns you public bragging rights, and my eternal gratitude (plus mild limping).

  • £75 – Advances research and guarantees a sweaty, triumphant finish-line photo in your honour.

  • £100 – Supports major breakthroughs and unlocks gratitude through tears and a possible victory wobble.

  • £150+ – Makes a huge difference to cancer research and earns you a full kilometre dedicated in your honour, loudly announced to nearby strangers plus a finish-line video of me publicly declaring what an absolute LEGEND you are.
