Cancer is relentess. But so are we. 

I did it!!!

I ran 10k!!!! First time ever! 1 hour 12

I did 6k!!!!

First time ever covering 6k in a session and got a pb for 5k of 34.04 minutes!

Not sure I’ve ever walked 10k but I’m creeping ever closer to running it!

First soggy run

Did my first ever run in the rain this week. Didn’t want to, but it was training day so I strapped on my shoes and got out there. Slowly plodding onwards and upwards

Half way through my couch to 5k

I’ve just hit a new PB - 6.02 min/km

From my first pb I’ve shaved 1min 20 seconds off!!

Why this one?

I wanted to give myself a target to improve my own health. Having done 4 weeks of running, I am a runner now. So why not sign up for a 10k😳
A friend of mine is currently living with cancer. I’ve friends who have survived cancer but I’ve also lost friends and family to cancer.
Cancer can do one. And anything I can do to help I’ll gladly do.
So help this newbie runner get to the finish line and improve the world at the same time and give as much as you are able……. And wish me luck!!!!

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
