Day #38 My dad passed away!

Today marks the 38th day my dad has been in a deep coma and he lost his battle, less than 24h before tomorrow's run! 
I am even more determined to run this 10k for my dad who lost his life due to cancer and for all the cancer patients & their families! 

Day #35 in deep coma

Today marks the 35th day of my dad being in this devastating deep coma. 4 days left until the run and all I want now is to be able to run it for him and all the other cancer patients and their families!

Day #30 in deep coma

Today marks the 30th day of my dad being in a deep coma. 30 days!
I ran 5k today, non-stop, after losing my fitness level and that felt good! I felt strong and strength is what I need the most these days!

Day #24 in deep coma

Today marks the 24th day being in deep coma. I ran 0.5k for every day he spent in ICU. I haven't been training well lately, I run and walked some of the 12k. 

Dad is fihgting for his life because of a metastatic brain cancer!

Hi,
Life is bigger than us, and my plans have changed! I would not have known that I would be fundraising for cancer research while my own dad is fighting for his life due to a metastatic tumour in his brain and has been in a deep coma for the last 18 days! 
This has impacted us all very deeply and after 17 days of not training, I am back on the road running. Writing this while waiting by the door of the ICU at the hospital. 
Cancer research is vital for us all. Running a chilly 10k was not going to be a big challenge for me, but for sure this one will be (if I can run it unless something else 'bad' happens to my dad in the next 3 weeks!)
