One finish line down… time for Operation Polar Bear! 🐻❄️
After completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon back in April, apparently I decided I needed another challenge… and signed up for the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10K.
Well, today I completed another 10K — the Vitality London 10,000 — and that means it’s officially time to start talking about the next one!
On 21 February 2027, I’ll be back in London, this time raising money for Cancer Research UK.
But there’s a slight difference with this one.
I’m doing it with Rachael, and we’ve given ourselves a target:
10K in under two hours.
Welcome to Operation Polar Bear. 🐻❄️
After everything my body and I have been through, every start line still means something to me. I’m not interested in being the fastest person out there. I’m interested in seeing what I can do next — and hopefully raising a decent amount of money while I’m doing it.
Today I crossed another finish line.
Tomorrow the training starts for the next one.
Okay… maybe not literally tomorrow. I’ve got a blister and my legs may file a formal complaint. 😂
But Operation Polar Bear is officially underway.
If you’d like to support Rachael and me on our mission to break that two-hour barrier, any donation to Cancer Research UK would mean an enormous amount.
10K. Sub two hours. Rachael & Elanor
Operation Polar Bear is GO. 🐻❄️❄️
