Something to aim for
Right now I feel a bit lost...I have always seen myself as an active person, even during the darkest days of my RA I always got myself up and out. The hardest bit about my most recent, second, endocervical cancer battle, and subsequent radical hysterectomy, is having to take it really easy, and facing a recovery of around 12 months. But every journey starts with a first step...this is mine. I cannot run yet, as my internal core is weak, and newly healed wounds, delicate; but I'm walking more each day. I am lucky I shouldn't need further treatment. So slowly does it, but hey tortoises win races sometimes! This gives me something positive to aim for and helps more research into new therapies and support for a disease that is and has affected not just myself, but so many people I love and care about.I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2027.
Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 21st February 2027.
Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
