Why I'm running
9 months of chemo and radiotherapy later, she made a recovery, but cancer is something that she will live with forever, with frequent check-ups, bloods, scans and the like.
It’s not lost on me that this is a very fortunate encounter with cancer - to which people very dear to me have cruelly lost family and loved ones.
It is for these reasons that I am taking part in the Cancer Research UK 2026 Winter Run.
I’m asking for donations not because 10k is a particularly long distance, but because this is a fantastic event and opportunity to raise money for a cause close to my heart.
Even if you can only donate £1, this will get me £1 closer to my target of £175. This all being said with a view to raise more and run further later on this year.
Thank you, and sending love to all of those who have been affected by cancer <3
I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 15th February 2026.
Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.
Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
