Why I’m Running: My Dad, My Warrior
I’m taking part in the Cancer Research run this year for one main reason -my dad
Hearing the news of his kidney cancer diagnoses didn’t feel real at first. It was scary and confusing and something that you’d hope to never happen to anyone, let alone happen to your own family.
My strong dad is facing every single part of it with so much strength. Even on the days where things are really hard, he just keeps going. He didn’t give up and seeing that made me realise just how strong he really is and how I’m so proud of him.
That’s why I’m running- for him, for anyone who has had to deal with cancer and for more research, more answers and more chances for people like my dad to keep fighting.
Every step I take in this run is for him and for all the families who have been through this. If you’re able to donate or even just share the link, it would mean so much.
I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2026.
