Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

Thank f*** for cancer research!

In September 2025, my family got the shocking news that my 32-year-old brother had been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma.

After the initial bombshell, the rest of 2025 simply became a blur as his full-time job was replaced by weeks of hospital appointments to facilitate the rounds of intensive chemotherapy needed to fight the disease.

Amazingly, while most of us went into metaphorical meltdown, my brother dealt with the situation like a real trooper - sending silly selfies from hospital, injecting regular doses of much-needed optimism into the family WhatsApp, and keeping us all calm with his usual terrible jokes.

Then, in December, we got the incredible news from my brother's doctors that his chemo had been extremely effective - just three months after diagnosis, he is already in remission.

For my family, this feels like a miracle. But I know we owe the speed and efficiency of my brother's treatment to organisations like Cancer Research UK, which have now been funding ground-breaking research into cancer prevention, detection and treatment for decades. Thank f*** for cancer research!

On February 15th I will be running the 10k London Winter Run to raise money for Cancer Research UK - please donate and keep funding the life-saving research that is helping us to win the war on cancer.

Last year was a rollercoaster, but 2026 is looking a lot brighter!
